Puzzle, card and digital board games explained

Editorial Policy

Our Goal

Virtual Post Gaming publishes evergreen explainers and guides about puzzle games, digital card games, deckbuilders and digital board game adaptations. Our goal is accuracy and clarity. This page explains how we choose topics, how we check facts and what we do when we get something wrong.

How We Choose Topics

We focus on questions players genuinely ask and that stay relevant beyond a single patch or season: how a game’s rules work, what a format or mechanic means, how to approach a puzzle without spoiling it, how to think about building a deck and where a game or genre came from. We avoid leaks, rumours and tier lists tied to a short-lived meta. We do not publish gambling, betting or real-money gaming content, and we do not encourage spending on card packs, loot or in-game currencies.

Research and Fact-Checking

  • Rules and mechanics are checked against primary sources: official game sites, rulebooks, patch notes and in-game documentation, supported by established community reference wikis where needed.
  • Release dates, developers, publishers and awards are checked against official announcements, store pages and reputable reference works.
  • Digital card games change through rotations and balance updates, so where details can change we state the point in time they refer to, for example “as of 2026”.
  • Puzzle guides are written to avoid spoilers unless an article clearly says otherwise.
  • If we cannot verify a claim, we leave it out. We do not invent quotes, statistics, prices, records or personal experiences.

Sources

Each article ends with a list of the main sources we used, linked so readers can check them. We prefer primary sources such as official pages, rulebooks and developer talks.

Use of AI Tools

AI tools assist our team with research organisation and drafting. Every article is then fact-checked against sources and edited by a person before publication. Responsibility for what we publish rests with our editorial team, not with any software.

Authorship

Articles are published under the pen name Nora Whitfield, which represents our small independent editorial team. We do not attribute credentials, rankings or experience to the pen name that we do not have.

Corrections and Updates

If you find an error, please email [email protected] with the article link and, ideally, a source. We review every report. Factual errors are corrected promptly, and significant corrections are noted at the end of the article with the date of the update. We also review evergreen articles periodically when rotations, major updates or new editions change the picture.

Sponsored Content and Links

Virtual Post Gaming is independent and not affiliated with any developer, publisher or platform. If we publish sponsored content, it will always be clearly labelled “Sponsored”, and any paid links will carry the rel=”sponsored” attribute. Sponsors have no influence over our regular editorial content.
